  • Create Your Social Story — The social story is a tool used by people with autism to keep themselves on track. Using this technique to move yourself forward in your career or to accomplish a goal is powerful. Similar to a vision board, a technique which envisions your future, the social story is even more immediate — breaking down small tasks and daily goals by planning your behavior and preparing for a positive outcome.  

 

About Alice

Alice is an inspirational writer and former Disney storyteller sharing the funny and amazing lessons on how to handle change and how to connect with each other that she learned from parenting Henry the #AutismTalkShowHost. Think Anne LaMott and Bette Midler raising the offspring of Rainman and David Letterman. 

For 20 years, Alice was a comedy-improv-storyteller and entertainer at the Walt Disney World Resort.  Alice is the author of The Creative Life (InterVarsity Press), a ghostwriter for speakers and has a career in public relations and copywriting. She speaks and leads seminars on the principles of storytelling, improvisation and creativity.

About Henry

Henry is a talk show host. He inspires audiences with his unique style and engaging personality along with his stage presence, captivating live audiences, as well as in online videos. Most people have debilitating stage fright, even for the simplest presentations, and watching someone with a debilitating communication disorder like autism command a crowd is thrilling.  

Henry has appeared at press events, led the oath at the Special Olympics state and local levels and appeared on Monsters in the Morning iHeart Media morning radio show where host Dirty Jim proclaimed Henry ‘a star’. Henry hosts his own online talk show, The OCA Show
